Remembering Merry Ann PearsonThe Board of Directors and staff of The Boulevard of Chicago honor the memory of Merry Ann Pearson, who passed away suddenly on June 26 as a result of a brain aneurysm. Beginning in 1991, Merry Ann was a member of the Steering Committee that planned, organized, and opened The Boulevard (originally named Interfaith House) in 1994. She was a Founding Board Member and served on the Board of Directors for over twelve years. In 2006, Merry Ann was presented with The Boulevard’s Founder’s Award for her role in envisioning, building and directing the organization. | Merry Ann Pearson |
Merry Ann was an active and valued member of the Board and its committees. She served in various roles throughout the years, including: an Executive Committee member, the Program Committee Chair, the Board Development Committee Co-Chair, and an Executive Search Committee member. Merry Ann was also a major sponsor of The Boulevard’s annual Gala for several years, and a generous donor. Merry Ann’s commitment, talents and contributions will be greatly missed at The Boulevard. Our thoughts and support are with her sisters, Carol and Joanne, her daughter Julia, and all her loved ones. |
