The Boulevard of Chicago is excited to welcome Richard Ducatenzeiler on his first day as Chief Executive Officer.

Richard comes to The Boulevard with more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience in human services and housing development. Richard most recently served as the Executive Director of Franciscan Outreach and prior to that served as the Executive Director of North Side Housing and Supportive Services. As a Chicago native, he is committed to serving our city’s most vulnerable residents and making an impact toward ending homelessness in Chicago. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Continuum of Care and worked on the creation of the city’s original Plan to End Homelessness in 2002.

“The Board of Directors is thrilled to begin working with Richard,” said Christy Weimer, The Boulevard’s Board President. “With his leadership, The Boulevard of Chicago can look forward to a period of growth and stability as we continue to provide life-saving care to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.”

"It is an absolute honor to be joining the amazing team at The Boulevard of Chicago,” said Richard. “The organization is an established leader in providing post-acute clinical care for individuals experiencing homelessness. As the demand for medical respite care (MRC) grows, I am committed to leading The Boulevard in becoming the national model in addressing complex care needs while helping to break the cycle of homelessness for our clients. I am extremely proud to be a part of this incredible organization and I look forward to getting to know those who make our work possible."
