Sharon Langshur, M.D. is a Research Project Coordinator at Northwestern Medicine (NM), bringing an extensive background as a healthcare provider and entrepreneur to her work.
She joined NM in the Center for Community Health to coordinate a research project focused on identifying individuals experiencing homelessness in ambulatory healthcare settings across Chicago.
Prior to her position at NM, she was an Operating Partner with Abundant Venture Partners, a venture creation firm that leverages digital technology to improve the delivery of healthcare. She joined Abundant Venture Partners at its founding in 2011 and served as COO for several years, overseeing holding company functions and engaging with portfolio companies in operating and governance roles.
Before her entrepreneurial work, Dr. Langshur was a physician undergoing pediatric residency training at Northwestern University. Her medical training was completed at the University of Connecticut, and she holds an M.S. in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from McGill University.
