Driving Change, Inspiring Hope

  Jun 05, 2025

Join us on Thursday, June 5, 2025 for

The Boulevard's Annual Luncheon Fundraiser:

Union League Club of Chicago
65 W Jackson Blvd · Chicago, IL 60604

11:30 am: Registration and Networking
12 pm: Lunch and Program

Our luncheon theme, Driving Change, Inspiring Hope, represents the importance of clear goals and strong leadership, particularly during times of major change. Inspired by The Boulevard's founders, this theme serves as a reminder that meaning and motivation are necessary to influence positive change and are often realized during moments of selfless collaboration.

In light of our theme, The Boulevard will host a panel discussion during this year's luncheon program to emphasize the critical role that medical respite and other housing and health programs play as part of the social safety net. Stay tuned for more information about our panel speakers!

The Boulevard exists to serve ill and injured homeless adults with medical respite care, holistic support, and housing services to restore their health and rebuild their lives. Proceeds from our Luncheon fundraiser will directly support the many valuable programs and services we provide to those in need. We need your help to raise awareness and support for our mission and to ensure a successful event.

Robin Robinson is an award-winning journalist and respected broadcaster whose more than three decades of Chicago-based reporting is marked by in-depth coverage of significant issues. A native Chicagoan, Robinson spent her younger years in California where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism at San Diego State University. She began her broadcast news career at KGTV in San Diego. After moving on to KMGH-TV in Denver, she returned to Chicago as a reporter/anchor for WBBM-CBS TV in 1983. She moved to WFLD-TV as the founding anchor of the station’s weeknight newscast, where she broadcast for 29 years.

Following her exit from broadcasting, Robin joined the Chicago Police Department in a command level civilian role focused on repairing community relationships to enable partnership for improved peace and safety. Robin founded Birdland Media, Ltd in 2015 as a consultancy for individuals and organizations needing overall strategic messaging, speech writing and preparation, on-camera training and crisis response/avoidance. She utilizes her participatory dialogue skills and leverages her broad network within the civic, business, charitable and journalism communities to bring the power of story to client goals. Robin also continues her broadcast story-telling platform on CANTV, Channel 19 in Chicago, as host of the program In Other News with Robin Robinson.
