The Boulevard of Chicago exists to serve ill and injured homeless adults with medical respite care, holistic support, and housing services to restore their health and rebuild their lives. Proceeds from our Luncheon fundraiser will directly support the many valuable programs and services we provide to those in need. ![]() | Keynote SpeakerBobby Watts, MPH, MS, CPH, is the CEO of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, which supports the 300 federally-funded Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) programs and 200 Medical Respite programs with training, technical assistance, sharing of best practices, research, publications, and an active policy and advocacy program working to eliminate homelessness. Under Bobby’s leadership the Council established the National Institute for Medical Respite Care which has successfully expanded the number of medical respite programs throughout the country.Bobby has more than 30 years of experience in administration, direct service, and implementation of homeless health services, beginning as a live-in counselor at the NYC Rescue Mission. Prior to joining the Council, he spent most of his career at an FQHC agency in NYC that operated shelters and conducted policy analysis and advocacy. He has served numerous boards, government-appointed task forces, and workgroups. He was one of twelve experts appointed to serve on the White House COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force, and later appointed to the Health Equity Work Group of the Advisory Committee to the Director of the CDC. |
